Audi Q5 - Frankenstein!

Agreed the name conjures up ghastly images of a gory beast concocted from a variety of different parts. But along with the horror it inspires, you know what else? 99% of the people have heard about him. He is that famous - more so than Saddam or Bush.
So why are we talking about Frankenstein right now? Well, like he was created using different parts which didn’t quite fit, we have a new age Frankenstein in the auto world - the Audi Q5. The fundamental difference being that while on our scary hero the mix-and-match scene did not quite work, there is a whole different story around the Audi Q5.
The component parts of the Audi Q5 are derived from the VW Touareg. It also has flashes of the BMW X3 and Mercedes GLK - two cars which it is directly pitted against in the auto market. In fact, the Q5 was evolved for that very purpose - to give the two above mentioned cars head-on competition and the younger brother’s place under Audi Q7.

It must be said that though the Audi Q5 has been created with specific reasons in mind. These reasons seem to agree very well with it because it is one great looking car. It is one of the top of the line SUVs and its low slung ultra cool look gives it a definite edge. Also, it is a little longer than the other cars in its segment and this gives it a classy appeal.
All in all, this is one Frankenstein that Audi will be very proud of!
