Pontiac Solstice is now turbocharged to the new 2007 Solstice GXP Performance Variant. The new GXP Performance edition is capable of pushing the original roadster DNA to a 47 percent boost in the horsepower along with other enhanced capabilities.

The new Pontiac Solstice GXP is equipped with the Ecotec 2.0-liter turbo engine from GM, capable of producing 260 horsepower and 260-lb ft of torque. GXP’s dual-scroll turbocharger is capable of discharging instant power. The air-to-air intercooling system annihilates the temperature rise inside the system and thus improves the performance.

Another attractive feature of this model is the direct injection technology. The dual functions performed by this enable the engine to produce more power and at the same time maintain less fuel consumption. This is made possible by the direct supply of the fuel to the combustion chamber and thus ensuring complete combustion of the fuel.

Pontiac Solstice GXP’s engine can be connected to a five-speed manual gearbox or a five-speed automotive transmission and is capable of producing a zero-to 60 mph in 5.5 seconds in both the conditions.

As before, the introduction of a new Pontiac is able to create an obsession in the car enthusiasts across the world.
