Body Kits - polyurethane or fiberglass?

Most people check out the bodies of OTHER people. But there are a few exceptions who find something else more interesting - we are talking about car bodies. What are body kits? Well, they refer to all that can be included in the exterior of the car. In a way, it is the skeleton of the car.
Agreed that cars come with their own body kits. But sometimes car owners want to go in for a new body kit. The reasons for doing so are various-a new design, something unique, a bad accident…the list goes on. If you too happen to want to do the same for your car, the options available are endless. Let’s explore the crux of it then, shall we?
Another very important function performed by the body kit is that it increases the aerodynamic ability of your car, depending on the design you have chosen. There are mainly two materials in which body kit are available. The first one is polyurethane. This is the preferred choice in colder regions as it is relatively more resistant to the cold. It is also quite damage resistant. But there is a flipside too. Once it is damaged, repair is not a possibility.
The other material is fiberglass. Though not as tough as the former, it can be repaired time and again and this makes it a popular choice. It is also quite lightweight.
Now all you have to do is pick what suits your needs the most and drive down the lane with your car being followed by cat calls and whistles.
